Almo Pro AV held their second ever virtual #E4V event from October 27-29, 2020 and Absen Inc was a big part of the event. This event was originally scheduled to be an in-person event for the same dates. However, due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the restrictions on large person gatherings, it was decided that they would hold a virtual trade instead of an in-person one. 2,049 people attended the 3-day event. Almo also has announced ‘Bonus Weeks’ to give AV pros additional opportunities to watch or re-watch the content and earn valuable AVIXA CTS-I and CTS-D renewal units before the end of the year.
The E4V is a trade show that allows the AV industry to engage with the latest solutions, topics, and AV education. With the virtual version, Almo created solution centers in Unified Communication, Next Generation Workspaces, The Future of Events and Meetings, Digital Signage, Pro Audio, and Direct-View LED, in which Absen is featured. There were keynote speeches in the each of these areas by some of the industry’s leading experts. AV integrators also had the ability to check out the latest products that the manufacturers have to offer.
Absen sponsored the dvLED Solution Center for Almo’s Fall E4 Evolution (E4v), virtual training event. This content is in high demand by Almo resellers and integrators who are eager to learn more about dvLED opportunities, the technology and the products available to them.”
The company was pleased to bring the following product solutions to E4V: K-Plus, Acclaim Plus, Acclaim Pro, Absenicon, Polaris, XD Plus, N Plus, and HC0.9. These products show the diversity of the Absen LED product line, including the newest products, K-Plus and HC0.9. Absen also featured its new MiniLED technology for fine pixel pitch LED product.
The entire online show was hosted by Joel Rollin, who also helped provide great insight to each of the presenter’s keynote speeches. The first day focused on UCC and Digital Signage with keynote speeches by Gary Kayye of Rave Pubs and Jonathon Brawn of Brawn Consulting. Day 2 was all about Next Generation Workspaces as well as Pro Audio. The keynotes were given by Kay Sargent of HOK and Gary Kayye of Rave Pubs for Next Generation Workspaces while Chuck Espinoza of Avixa gave a keynote on Rethinking Audio in the Future of AV. Day 3 focused on the Future of Events with a keynote by Almo’s Tom Kehr. Almo’s BDM Jake Sanders also provided a keynote on the Essentials of DVLED Design, which featured Absen Absenicon, Polaris, and Acclaim LED Solutions during his presentation. This talk focused on how to choose the right Direct-View LED Solution for whatever project the AV integrator had. “About 75 percent of the AV community has yet to take on a dvLED project so there is so much room to grow in this area says Jake Sanders. We had a chat room full of questions following the dvLED session. Questions ranged from overall cost of ownership and refresh cycles to panel matching and tools/calculators to help with the design process”
At the end of each session there was a roundtable panel that covered the above topics and a lot of great insight was given through those panels. There were also trending picks, products that were presented as their best solutions to for AV integrators to gain more information on in each category. Absen’s Acclaim Plus was chosen a top trending pick along the Peerless seem less DVLED mounting system for the Acclaim Plus and Pro series.
